Frankly the fact they used a buggy chassis should reduce price heavily. Company out of Texas builds brand new ones from old delorean company part stock. I found a new seat on TC Bros called the RIgid Barron II seat that is basically the same seat as that, just brand new. Seems to have the same button pattern on it as well.

I would never spend 541 thousand dollars for a car i probably wouldn't ever drive. I would tho spend that kind of money on a Nice House and lots of Acres so i could grow either Wine grapes for making wine and producing my own wine. Or grow Coffee plants to make and produce my own coffee. Or Make both my own coffee and wine companies together as a business venture. Then save the rest in stocks and bonds.

Sorry, but I don't think that is the actual one used in the movie. All of the licence plates are wrong and the guages, switches and gear selector inside the cabin are different to the one in the movie. Even the acceperator pedal has diffeernt wear marks. There are other major differences as well, such as the front bumper where the cutouts are completely different. It's the same model truck, but not THE truck from Duel.

the movie Dual was a movie of the week on ABC which aired on Tuesday nights in the early 1970's .

I would substitute the straight steering column with a safety steering system. Refurbish the push button automatic transmission. Install disc power brakes. Reinforce the cabin, floor, doors, pillars and roof. Add seat belts. Then, install analog air bags. You'll have a modern safety equipped version of the iconic Christine classic car.

A few times i saw the original 1930s Batman Serial on TMC. Very corny, but they also had a Batmobile in that. It may hve been this style, or was a truck??
